Per Florida law a "common pocketknife" is OK. All "concealed weapons" (knives included) require a license. The statute is not incredibly clear on the length requirement where the knife stops becoming a common pocketknife and becomes a concealed knife as a weapon, however case law has stated that 4" is considered a common pocketknife. For anything over 4" I would check with your local gun shop or place of business that deals in knives.

Go ahead and carry one. I do. Just don't carry one to school, you will be arrested and expelled, that is if you are of school age. There is no size limit for the blade. Switchblades are illegal, and even legal knives can be illegal given the right circumstance. The Concealed Weapons Permit is only for handguns and nothing else.

I don't think we can help you here. These rules vary from school district to school district. I seriously doubt if carrying any size of pocket knife is allowed, however.
