hey im doing a project on florida and i need some info. one question is:
Demonstrate an understanding of the history and economy of Florida.

The next question is:
Describe how the government works, include the names of current leaders.
i already have the info on how the floridian government works but i need to know who the current leaders are.
Any links to sites that would help answer these questions will be deeply appreciated. i already finished the other parts of the project. thanks a bunch! =]

For the history and economy of Florida, you need to look up the history of the Railroads and how that literally built Florida. The Florida Keys were built up to be the railroad stations for the Cuba train. Yep, you got that right - there is a rail line that used to connect right to Cuba from the US. But it got destroyed during a Hurricane and was never rebuilt. The rail systems crisscross Florida and provided it's initial life blood.
