Apply, Apply, Apply!! Fill out as many apps. as you can. It would help if you had an inside connection too. Don't give up it may take a while but if you look presentable, intelligent, responsible & serious you will land something soon.

Look at resources that will have job advertisements. Newspapers, internet, shop windows, word of mouth etc. Put in heaps of applications. When you get an interview lined up research the company so YOU can ask them a couple of questions. That way they know you are genuinely showing an interest. And don't forget to smile, be confident (even if you are not feeling it, they don't need to know that). And if you get a job at somewhere like McDonalds it's a start. Thank them at the end of the interview for giving you the opportunity and good luck : )

I started my first job at home and still continuing that in my part time. You may also look out for an option to work online to make extra cash in your spare time. I am a part time worker doing work online at home, so I would like to share a link where you can make $600-$1500 in a month working at home. The work need to be done is posting/answering a discussion and uploading any photo/image of your interest. For details visit

I will publish few more genuine site in couple of weeks, where you can earn money. You may also write to me at talkofmoney@rediffmail.com (Note: When u are planning for a home based online work, be careful because most of them are scam and ask you to pay initial money. never pay money to any such site.)

I like movies, so my mom suggested that I apply to the local movie theater. After my friend and I applied, we were hired on as concession stand workers. Ta-da! My first job.
Just think about things that you like (or stuff you want to get discounts on) and apply. Apply lots of places.
Good luck!

walk round shops asking for application forms, some will just ask for a cv and note which ones they are so you can take one in.
if you dont wanna work in a shop look in the local newspaper which most likely has some advertised

Ensure your resume is up to date, and keep it simple and sweet.
Apply for any jobs that take your fancy, and when you get an interview go in there smiling, feeling confident.

Apply at places looking to hire someone or ask family and friends if their place of employment is looking for anyone.
