i notice it in Telenovelas(spanish soap operas) and everywhere I go. All the characters are white.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For example, what do most white men and women do? Go to tanning salons, apply fake tan, or "bronze" up on holiday.
And what do many non-whites do? Bleach their skin to be as light as possible.
Quite ironic really!

well because usually the white skinned people are usually rich and the black people are usually associated with poverty, violence and many other conotations as such. but its not always like that. in some telenovelas there are also many poor light skinned people, but then again you can always know that you will have the rich and the poor in everything you watch and see!

i have never seen anyone with white skin (like a piece of printer paper) or anyone with black skin (like these letter)....everyone's some shade of brown (learned that from bill nye the science guy =P)
