How would I find out about a company named General Energy of Vancouver?

If you need to find out more about a company, check the local Better Business Bureau. In this case, there is no listing for "General Energy" in Vancouver.

I live here, and have never heard of it either.

nothing in google -- if they are a gas/electric retailer, think twice before you sign -- check out a site like "Energy Shop" where you can compare what the various energy retailers are offering -- worked great for me in Ontario
