Folks above are right.

Stick to non blooming shrubs and plants.

Although Hostas are loved for the foliage, they still bloom late in summer and I have seen bees snuggling up to those blooms.

Arborvitae, Yew, Barberry, and Ornamental grasses are great non blooming plant material that wont attract bees.

Plants with no blossoms...especially sweet smelling blossoms. I would stick with leafy plants like hostas or shrubs.

Plant some fruit nearby.The splashes from the pool will water them,and they don't grow flowers.
