im sick of getting the "emo" name. just cuz im going through some hard things at home, and im not the happiest person cuz of that reason. people should get to know someone before they judge. i know the world isnt gonna be perfect and it never will be, but i am so angry! anyone feel the same?

I get sick of it too. And all you can do is learn to ignore it. Labeling people is part of human nature. It's how we identify and group people. We all do it. You see a person in a Habit and Wimple and you label that person as a nun. But you could be wrong, it could just be somebody in a costume. It's often used wrongly, but that is never going to stop. Just remember chickens cackle a lot, but don't say much of anything.

well thats human nature kind of like when you describe someones appearance and say -the girl next door or the cheerleader type-etc.// its the way you carry yourself that you need to address and stop worrying what others think of you you may be going through hard times but when your in the public eye maybe its best to put it away so that you dont get the treatment you dont like -WHAT YOU PUT OUT INTHE WORLD IS WHAT YOU GET BACK

Pretend it's Halloween - without the costume - and try on a different attitude.
Perhaps the world won't recognize the 'emo' in you anymore and you'll treat 'it' differently!
