I just finished reading, "the end" and i have a couple ?'s
1. Why did Olaf kiss Kit
2. What's the baby's name
3. Is Beatrice the Baudlaire's mother
4. If anyone's read "letter to beatrice" what is it about and is it worth reading?

1. Olaf kissed Kit because they had a history (possibly dated at some point, that was what I inferred).

2. The baby's name is Beatrice.

3. The original Beatrice was Mrs. Baudelaire.

4. I have "The Beatrice Letters" but have not gotten around to reading it yet. From skimming it, it was very interesting and had information not provided in the series. It is a book of letters.
