I used to like this boy 4 like a couple of weeks.Then I didn't.One of my blabbermouth exfriend told him today.I don't like him.He doesn't like me.He thinks I'm ugly and that why I don't like him and more reasons.Now he is so retarted and is telling almost everyone I like him when I don't.My life is over.Its a disaster.I'm so embaressed.My exfriend also did it to one of my other friends,I think.That is what my other friend told me.Anyway,how can I convince that dumbo head that I don't like him?

tell him it was a rumor and everyone else who knows. that's all you can do.

He knows you don't like him, he's just trying to make himself feel better about that by humiliating you in front of everyone. The way to let everyone know you don't like him, is to firmly put him in his place when he starts spreading rumours, it's best to do this in front of people as he'll feel ashamed once you tell him off in front of his friends. He should stop messing with you after that.

I'm no therapist but I think you should first talk to the "friend" who blabbed and try to straighten things out with them. Next you can talk to the boy and make sure he really knows that you do NOT like him. Try not to make fun of him or tease him while you have this talk. If he keeps going, fight fire with fire! Asume he likes you and is just trying to have some fun. Try to let it go but stay strong!

seriously... blow it all off like you're above it all. the angrier you get and the more you insist that you don't like him, the less people will believe you. remember, any time anyone asks you about it, limit yourself to two sentences about it and then turn the conversation to something else. two sentences!
them: "i heard you like [retarded boy]!"
you: "well, you heard wrong. i don't."
them: "[retarded boy] says you like him."
you: "he's so full of himself. not like he has reason to be."
and so on. he'll start to look like a loser for trying to convince everyone. play it cool, and you can win. life's far from over.
