I have double glazing in my house but the bedroom window screams when the wind is blowing , The seal appears intact and there are no gaps i can see and the window closes tight.
The windows are three yrs old but the manufacturers (Safestyle UK ) say they can't do anything because the guarantee is only for the person who had it fitted ( i e the previous owners ). They don't even offer help of any kind once the guarantee is out of the originators hands unless I pay to transfer the documentation ( over £70 if they agree to accept it )

As I stated the seal around the window ( inside and out) is intact that was the first thing I checked, There is no draft associated with it at all . the scream is coming from the frame itself !

the air is most likely coming in through the fuzzy seals on the window. take the curtains down and hold a tissue up next to the window the next time it happens. watch for it to flutter/blow and you will find the spot where the air is penetrating. it could be that the window has shifted in the opening, was hung out of square, or spread if the installation screws where tightened too tight. look closely at the gap all the way around the window sash and see if it is larger in one spot than the rest of the way around it. it could also need caulk around the frame on the outside of the window. i'm not familiar with the window company in question as i am in the US, but any reputable company that builds a decent product should have a transferable warranty. if they didn't install the window, they might feel that it is the installers mistake. i would give them a call, again, and ask them to make it right. remind them that a satisfied customer tells one or two people, and unhappy customer tells everyone!! and if you still don't get any satisfaction, i would make it a point to tell them that you will make it your life's goal to tell everyone what a lousy product and company they really are! start with a "has anybody else had a lot of problems with Safestyle windows?" question on yahoo answers at least once a week, if not nightly! get the word out!! good luck from across the 'pond'.

The scream may be air being forced through a small gap in the seal, i imagine this window faces the prevailing winds.

If you make a fairy liquid solution, you can find the area the air is entering, then take appropriate action, sealants, mastics etc.
