I am assuming that your date likes sushi and that is why you are taking her there. If she does, ask her what she recommends. If she does not have any idea, you should read over the menu and see what sounds good. If you are not an adventuresome eater, I would go with the "cooked" sushi such as the shrimp rolls, or vegetable rolls. I had an amazing lobster roll at a sushi restaurant that was basically lobster salad rolled in cucumbers. One important thing to note. The green stuff on the plate is wasabi which is like a japanese horseradish and it is very hot...add it to your sauce sparingly. I was with someone that thought it was avacado and ate it plain...quite a shock!

Unless she's a veteran sushi fan, try to go before hand with a friend who likes the restaurant. Your friend will know what you like and order accordingly and he/she can teach you sushi etiquette.

If your new girlfriend already knows the sushi ways, let her teach you. It would bet a great way to get to know one another. I started out trying the cooked-seafood rolls like Snow Crab rolls, and Crunchy rolls (Snow Crab with fried batter). These are mild tasting and aren't too adventurous. Or just tell the waiter/waitress/chef that it's your first time eating sushi. Staff recommendations have never steered me wrong.

The best teacher is a friend. Japanese cuisine is delicious and fun. Good luck with your date and happy dining!

Check the menu before hand. Just ask a waiter to explain the menu. If you never ate sushi before - go for the sushi that is made with cooked fish.

To be on the safe side, order a cucumber roll. It's cucumber/avocado/carrot/seaweed and rice.It is so good and doesn't involve eating raw fish. You can also order a California roll ,it's imitation crab meat/seaweed and rice.Again, very good and no raw fish. Also, many Chinese and Japanese restaurants sell sushi. You can get some chicken and she can get sushi

If you have never ate it before and she has never ate it before maybe you should speak to her about going there before you just take her. Sushi could make her sick if she isn't in to or use to eating Raw Fish.

Not everyone has the stomach for muscles never mind Fish, but when you take someone to eat RAW fish well that's even worse.

Hope I helped you out.

i like sushi, there are each kind. i think of a few human beings get freaked out by applying the assumption of ingesting uncooked fish, no longer all sushi has uncooked fish in it, some does yet no longer all. uncooked fish is in many cases sashimi yet sushi can get created from a great form of issues as properly fish.

I suggest you try it first to see if YOU like it before you go on a sushi date. It is an acquired taste, that is for sure. It would be bad news to go on a date and then find yourself gagging bacause raw fish isn't to your palatte.

nobody can tell you what you like to eat, pick something that sounds or looks good to you and try it, if you dont like it dont order it again, usually they have a sushi sampler you can order and try a few different things

I recommend going to a buffet first where you can get a sense of it first before you spend the money on it. Just remember the green sauce(Wahhabi) is hot, so use lightly and the ginger is there to diffuse the hot.

My sons took me for sushi.I thought it would be good because alot of people raved about it.It was expensive and I hated it.You need to try it first or pick a place you both will like for sure.It won't be impressive if you don't even like it.
