I have dried mud on them and how do i get it off. I used water and it just got harder...????????

never use water on suede. it ruines the material. what you need to do is get an old tooth brush, and gently scrape of the dried mud.

There is a suede brush. It has bristles made of brass. Go to a shoe store or a shoemaker and ask if they carry them. Inquire then about cleaning the shoes. Bring the shoes with you as well.

Use a damp cloth, warm water and a little dish soap. Wipe down clean and you should be good to go!

A fine wire brush would do th trick.
