I'm kinda short (five foot five) and was wondering if a dress with a thigh-high split up the skirt would look right on me, or if it only looks better on people with long legs. Maybe heels would help?

I think the split isn't the problem , you just don't want to go with a long floorlength dress because then you'll look shorter.....wear something to the knee with heels and you'll look leaner and taller

I think you should just not wear a dress with a slit that goes up to your thigh at all...it looks sleezy and cheap

try it on . you will never know till you do. i say try on the dress. if you think it looks good wear it. i don't think you have to be a specific height to wear a dress with a slit.

I dont see why it wouldnt look ok and if heels make you feel better in the dress..go for it!!!
