I love to wear eyeliner, but I'm not that great at putting it on. When I do, if I look really closely, I can always see the gap between the eyeliner and my eyelashes. I was wondering how to eliminate this. Or maybe everyone has this, and it's just not that noticeable.

try using a soft pencil first, and get as close to the lash line as possible. what i do is take a mirror, tilt my head back, and look downwards into the mirror w/ my eyes. take the pencil and dot between the lashes as well as feather in and out along the lash line. then later if u want u can go in w/ liquid liner along the lash line to make it darker/thicker. good luck!

hey there, i am a trained makeup artist. Alot of people have this issue, and it really depends on the how thick your eyelashes are. what i find works the best is to use a short bristle brush and eyeshadow, yes eyeshadow it gets right in there easier. Just work the brush back and forth into your lash line. If you find that the eyeshadow isn't staying as long as a traditional eyeliner would you can use a tranformer, this will basically turn your eyeshadow into eyeliner. If you're having trouble finding a transformer for cheap, find an eyebrow set that comes with a wax, i found this at walmart even. the wax that comes with the brow set will work the same way a transformer would. I hope this helps. ciao!

I had that problem also. I realized I can't just draw a straight line across my eyelid, I have to do small strokes, like painting, right up against the eyelashes. Looks good.

try using an eyeshadow smudger and smudge the liner downward to cover the gaps. then reapply the liner and the rest of your eye makeup. good luck!
