In the much over-played and annoying song "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt...?

He sings the first line, "My life is brilliant," followed by a pause, and then sings the same line over again before continuing the song.

Why does he do that? When I looked up the lyrics on LetsSingIt.com, the line was written twice. Was it an error that was just never taken out of the recording, and if so why was it never removed? Or is there some reason that the line is repeated?

In an interview I read he said he repeated the line because he was overwhelmed at how his life was going at that time, and that it was worth repeating because here he was going from massive obscurity to recording in LA with a famous producer in a blink of an eye.

He said it's like saying something, thinking about what it means really and then saying it again for emphasis.

He's singing the title and then the first line, like you would recite a poem. No one told him that people would read the titles on the album to know which song is next.

He says it first for emphasis, then repeats and elaborates on the idea. A lot of artists do this. Its mainly about rhetoric and getting people to really listen.

Also, it keeps rhythm.

i think he just says it once as an intro. and then he repeats it when he actually starts singing the song.
