I just accidentally broke one of the two clips on our microwave off when I was opening the door to it and now when I close it the little plate just spins and when you tell it to cook something it won't do anything. Any answers? It's just creeping me out so...

Those two clips allow the microwave to function; without them, the microwave thinks that the door isn't closed and won't cook. Microwaves are cheap and expendable - yours isn't safe, so buy another one.

call an appliance repair man and get a quote for the part and labor. then compare that to just buying a new one. if you are handy and think you can tackle the repair, call a parts store and find out how much for just the part. when mine goes, we are going to upgrade to a convection microwave, just something for you to consider. good luck!

Can't help ya, but my microwave that I bought just 4 months ago completely died for no reason.....getting the run around from GE. Their products are worthless and their customer service department is even more worthless!!!!!

THOSE 2 DOOR PINS ARE THE ONLY SAFETY'S IN TH E SYSTEM ... YOU CAN TAKE IT APA RT & BYPASS ONE, IF YOU BYPASS BOTH, YOU COULD OPEN THE DOOR WHILE IT IS ON & COOK YOUR SELF INSIDE OUT!
