sometimes when you see someone who looks totally miserable and alone. I remember once I saw an older lady in McDonalds. She was morbidly obese, with stringy hair and severe acne, and she was sitting all alone. She had a walker to support her weight, and was just sitting there, bringing one fry at a time slowly to her mouth, and staring off into space. She looked like the saddest person I've ever seen, and I think about her to this day and wish that I had gone over and talked to her, and given her a little companionship. It kinda haunts me.
