Does anyone know a Jim/James Cooper from Chicago who is a truck driver because he has stolen property?

I left two very sentimental family heirlooms in a tanning salon in Hendersonville TN (Captain Video) on 11/16 @5:30 pm. Well a month later I received a call from a man calling himself Jim Cooper and said that he had two rings he had bought from a blond girl (which the girl who was in after me was blond & named Sarah).
He said he had bought them from her for $180 and the location was right where I had lost them. He got my # from flyers put up inside the business. He has a Chicago # and wanted me to pay him back the money he was out. He described the rings so I know he has them. If anyone knows him please contact me. I have all of the girls info that took them but I need the rings back first before I can go any further with this. I need to find out if this guy really exists. And the employees said that there is a trucker that parks around there frequently and the name on the truck is Dawes Contract Carriage with a Wisconsin plate. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, I live in Hendersonville too and I go to Captain Video too. Be very careful with this guy....he could have been the one to actually take your rings and he just made up this story. For one, I think it is illegal to buy stolen merchandise so you can contact the police and give them his name...let them contact him. You might have to call the H'ville police and see if I am right but I bet they might be willing to help you since you know his name and have his phone number. Let him worry about getting his money back from that girl....those are your rings and he should give them back to you.

Truck drivers represent a wide range of people types in the US. Some are great, some are not. Unfortunately most of them lose their respect when they climb up into the big rig. They are probably the most dangerous thing on the road. The only other thing out there that is even close (dangerous) is the drunken or drugged driver. What makes things worse is that most companies "push" those drivers to beat the system with their safety programs. Time and safety cost money. Trucking companies would rather gamble with the driver's license and the welfare of people on the road than spend a few dollars to be safe. Unfortunately too many drivers are stupid enough to do what they are told to do-this is sad.The last place I worked at had, on average, 150 trucks per day come through the facility. I met a lot of drivers. There are some good men on the road. There are some that should not be there.

You can't get arrested you for calling his work and asking for him or leaving a message (don't act desperate, he could see it as a way to screw you over even more).
