I have filled out online surveys and won several items. One took a *lot* of time & effort, but the prize was cool (a blender/chopper thing that my wife wanted) and one was really easy but the prize was medium quality (cd case that holds 64 cds).
You can win things, but for every one that is legitimate there are 100+ that are total scams. Good luck and hope you get good stuff!

Yes, but only from the gophercentral.com site. Any other site that promised a prize...(joebobbriggs.com) neveer came through.
I never won anything big, but I work with a lady that won a $500 Visa gift card from Nivea.

I won a sander. You know, for wood. I won it 6 years ago and got it in about a month. It still works!

My cousin's good friend won an ipod from one of those offers. It can be done but requires getting a lot of spam, getting your friends and friends of friends to sign up, and giving out your credit card number (shipping), address, etc
