So to protect homeland security the US insist that all visitors have a biometric passport, and hand over a full set of fingerprints, as well as filling in a questionaire about one's background and history. This is to protect the average law-abiding american.
All well and good.
But you can buy guns in a supermarket????
Oh, and by the way, did Timothy McVeigh have to pass through customs on his way to killing more than three times more people in Oklahoma than were killed in London on 7/7?

doesnt bother me i wont be going to the usa now or ever , been there and travelled around the country years ago , before bu$h and the lunatics moved in .
incidentally the u.s government also demand to know everything about passengers from all over europe including their bank details , phone no`s., even what in-flght meal was ordered as like the questioner i will not ever go to a place thats so paranoid it treats people who want to spend their hard earned cash on a holiday by treating them as criminals

It's alright for Americans to fly to other countries without this treatment though. I just wonder if they would like it? Also americans might not worry about the tourism trade but from what i understand it's big business. the Airlines might suffer, but then who cares.

quite frankly its nice to see a country caring about its homeland security rather than allowing all and sundry in and not doing a damn thing about it!! just look at the **** up our home secrataries have done by allowing people in our country to commit crimes abroad then give them jobs as school teachers and such likes and not forgetting the people who are allowed into our country who have commited crimes abroad then kill again here!!! point made!! you should be boycotting our countries government for not giving a toss!

I think all countries should do this. When crimes a committed by a visitor in my (or your) country and they go home, you don't want them coming back do you? Criminals aren't always so considerate as to leave a thumb print for ID. If you don't have anything to hide and are just here as a tourist, why should you care?
PS Where do you think your thumb print goes when you enter the US?

I don't care- I'm a law abiding citizen, not some Pakistani/ Arab Muslim extremist. I've got nothing to hide- so why should I care?

If I went to a country and they wanted to fingerprint me for their security I would say....where's the ink.
If this is an inconvenience for you....that's too bad...we won't miss you.
