In this world, you see many names and forms. Does it mean that they are all different from each other? No. All are one. It is only Divinity that expresses itself as mother, father, brother, sister, etc. Different people may ascribe different names to the Atmic Reality and try to define it in different ways. But, the underlying Atma Tattwa (Atmic priniciple) is one and the same. Names and forms may be different, but the underlying truth is one. When you keep this principle of truth in view, love will flow from you incessantly. Immerse yourself in the ocean of love. Do not give up love under any circumstance. Even if someone were to hate you, treat him as your own brother. - BABA

Before the big bang there was a pool of energy. The big bang separated that pool into shards - so now you see stars, the desk, your computer, individual people, animals...but it's all from the same place and it's all, really, the same thing. More of this in the book, "There's no place like ohm."

When we get to the point where we recognize that that guy honking at you in traffic is reallly just a different manifestation of you as is the woman working at Habitat and the school teacher and everyone else is essentially "us" we'll be a lot better off.

It's when we start defining ourselves as separate that we seem to get in the most trouble.

Read The Accidental Buddhist for more on this.

Guess what. If everyone will look at your questions and who you pick as the best answer, they will see that it is the same person each time. It is your way of selling your religion. You ask a question with one profile and answer it with another. Or maybe you get a friend to do the answering, but all the questions are set up so that the answer is chosen before it is ever asked. You aren't even going to read this probably.

And if any of you think i'm being mean, look at their history of questions and best answers and see for yourself! Also, I already know who he's going to give best answer to... it's the answer above me! the one with the red flower as the avatar!

I don't think it does. As to names they change down through the years, and yet often their true derivation can be found through some linguistic tracing. Forms differ, but they share similarities as well. They can be classified. I can identify many kinds of horses, but they all share enough characteristics that I can call them all horses and be correct.

I think there is a manifest and manifold beauty in both the similarities and the differences for which I praise God.

Why concentrate on differences between people. This entire world would benefit if people would recognize the similarities and know that, after all is said and done, we are all humans.

Names are different, yes, that's why we use different names. Forms are different. There is no underlying mysticism applied here.
