how far can we really go back to REALLY know who we are?

I know enough that I don't worry about my race nor do I make issue about someone else's race. I have heard there is Native American in my bloodline as well as Irish, English, and German. That doesn't make me any more or less than anyone else.

I'm 99.6% white and .4% native american, hypothetically.
The genes recieved from the parents arn't split 50/50. You can be 90% your mom and 10% you dad. This is why brothers look different and sisters look different. (Also, every egg and sperm has a different genetic code from the owner.) So technically if your great-great-great x 40 grandfather happened to be 100% african, that doesn't mean you are related to him. His genes could have been "washed away" through out the generations. So maybe 80% of the world has a more than one race in there ancestory, that does not mean they have more than one race in there genetics.

We have to go WAAAAY back, when the first people on the earth were here. No one knows, im african-american thats all i know half of my friends make up lies about how they arent african they are native american and spanish. BLAH BLAH, no one knows their real race and if someone can take us back in time people will see what their real race really is.

I Know that I AM 100% Lakota Oyate; this translates to the red people of this continent ( North America ) my ancestors were all full bloods. this knowledge comes from oral testimony and legal documents birth certificates and such

Basically, all we really know is that almost everyone on earth is 5% African (aka sub-Saharan). Other than that, we're pretty much going by family genealogies.
