Will Carroll be going to coach the dolphins?

My desk is on the other side of a die hard USC fan and he is scared to death that Pete Carroll will leave USC. He is a member of some USC Trojan website, I mean this guy knows everything about some obscure high school sophomore that they are interested in recruiting--yes he does no work. This guy knows what Pete Carroll had for dinner in Costa Rica last night. Apparently, Wayne Huizenga, the Miami Dolphins owner, is willing to pay Pete Carroll $8,000,000.00 per year--YIKES!

You can mention all the comfort and all the fun that Pete Carroll is having at USC. How he dives in on tackles and runs plays with the special teams and so on. But if he is worth a darn as a coach he'll take another chance to be a winner at the highest level possible. I mean, isn't that every coaches dream, to win a Super Bowl???

The Dolphins aren't chopped liver either. Plus he'd get the $8 million plus full control of player personnel. It would be a shame if he left USC but it would be great to see him try to duplicate the success he has had at USC in the NFL. If he gets part ownership of the Dolphins, he'd be a fool not to go. But then again money isn't everything -- so I've heard from those people that have it in huge amounts. I don't know I'd like to see for myself!

I don't think Miami is a good fit for Carroll. Before the season began I thought there was no way Carroll would leave USC. However, I am beginning to wonder if he will stay and take the hit from the NCAA sanctions for what appears to be a dirty program (i.e., the Bush Bust and Sports Agents at the USC sports complex). People have forgotten that the investigation is still ongoing.
Most coaches tend to leave when the hammer comes down. Perhaps there is a different atmosphere in Southern California where it seems about anything goes.

No, Carroll has repeatedly said he's not interested in other jobs. And you can tell watching him coach there's no where else he'd rather be.

He'd have to be the dumbest guy alive to leave that USC job. He will be preseason number 1 again next year and he wants to leave? Yeah right. He is having way too much success and that would be hard to find in the NFL. If he stays in college, he's the king of the college game.

Norm Chow will be the next coach at USC if Carroll leaves.

He would be a fool to go to Miami. The transition from college to pro is rough for players and twice as hard for coaches. Look at stever spurrier with the redskins. he did nothing, i mean nothing for that team. Pete Carroll is having success in college football so he should just stay put.

He needs to stay at USC where he's been successful, which he more than likely will. He was not a good NFL coach.

Does anyone remember how awful he was as the Patriots head coach??? He is a terrible in-game manager and clearly outclassed in the NFL. Why not stay where you're treated as a God? I don't get it.

No, he has put to much into this team and is not about to leave a team that may be looking towards a national championship next year
