here now for 2 years but not that happy. wheather is nice job sucks own my home but could not afford one in N.Y but is owning own home better then being happy. had great job in N.Y worked for city of N.Y good pay good pension great benifits free. please help me decide. if i go back can have old job back

Go back to Staten Island. It sounds like you'd be much happier there anyway. I wouldn't want to live in Florida either.

I think you're already talked yourself into going back. Is it possible to hang-on to the Florida house, rent it and take advantage of the tax breaks?
