tell them you have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and when people get too close, you are liable to suffer a panic attack and may even go postal on their asss. it's a risk they have to take if they don't back off.
works for me.

I put one foot forward and as the go to back u p again they either trip on my foot or I push their foot with mine, and then if I am in a good mood I ask if they really need any more room because you keep coming back onto me, and if I am in a bad mood I say fairly loud, hey you know I like to use my feet to walk on too, but I use the bottoms and your using the tops so stop it,
and I ask them if they want me to move in front of them now, is that why your backing up...

good luck

Yes. How can they not get the hint?
My Spanish teacher told us all people of all nationalitles have "Walls" around them. Which is like an area around you that you don't feel comfortable when people step in. Americans is 18 inches. Other countries are like 6 or 8 inches.
I find it strange.

Oh, yes!! Dragon usually starts getting closer and closer to them in turn and breathing in their face. Then she will turn around and run away fast.

OH I HATE THAT! Ecspecially when you are like in a line or at the ATM. I am rude to them and look at them and if that does not help I turn around and say loudly "I HATE when people stand on top of me for no reason at all!" or "Damn! Someone's breath really stinks... "

Walk away. Obviously they can't take a hint, so you just need to make a reason to walk away. You could push them down too, that would be pretty funny. Just spaz out on them.

I've actually told people that I do NOT feel like that. A few I've cursed out. And to top it off, I'm generally a friendly person. I'm just rather wicked about my space is all.

yeah, i have this friend who always walked too close to me, and I would like just inch over to give me y'know that little bit of space, but he would move with me, so finally I said something, he didn't have an answer. I think some people are just like that, they don't mean anything by it, it's just how they are.

at that point I start yelling at them, there was this kid who loved me so much he would stand right behind me and smell my hair for as long as he could until I realized it. I must have cussed him out 584,327,504,238 times and he still kept on coming back. Creepy...
