Now is a good time to take a home pregnancy test. If you come up negative, take another one in a week.

It may be to soon depending on when you got pregnant (whether u conceived early or late in your ovulation cycle). Most preg tests can tell accurately within 5 day of a missed period and as soon as 5 days before a missed period. If it comes back negative wait a week to take it again. If still negative and no period see your doctor as soon as possible there may be something else wrong. Also keep an eye out for pregnancy symptoms.

No, it is not too soon to tell. I found out I was pregnant about three or four days late. I believe the pregnancy tests are quite accurate these days, so I don't think 8 days late is too soon. Good luck!

Most pregnancy tests that can be purchased in your local supermarket can test for a pregnancy very soon after the date you were due to have your period. Why don't you buy one and do a test, it is really simple and quick. There is no point in either worrying about it for no reason or getting too excited only to find out you are not. There are many reasons why you may be late with your period, including psychological. Buy a test and I hope the result is the one you wanted. Good luck x

1 day late is soon enough to tell. Some times even earlier. Buy a home pregnancy test, and make sure to do it first thing in the morning when your urin is at the highest concentration.
If you dont feel confident doing it at home, go to the lab at your Dr. Office and have your blood tested.

You can be. and a pregnancy test from boots will detect even at that stage. If the test is possitive you ARE pregnant (i.e. it will not say you are if you are not).

Test costs about £8 and only takes a few minutes.
