I thought Ayla would be pronounced as a long-I, but I wasn't sure. It's really hard to come up with a phonetic spelling for that name:
AIYLA (adding an I emphasizes that letter)
ISLA (isle-a)
AISLA(aisle-a)
ILA (Lila, minus the L)
EYELA :/
I vote for Aiyla. I think as this name is becoming more popular people will become more aware of the pronounciation.

That is what I have planned naming a little girl for years! Ayla Rose. And her's will be pronounced A-luh as in Ayla from the Clan of the Cave Bear novels. Good choice for a name :)

Ay (Rhymes with hay) luh is how I would pronounce it.
I worked with a lady whose daughter's name is Ayla pronounced this way. Beautiful name. I like Ayla Marie.
If you want to pronounce it Eye-la I would simply spell it Ila with a capital "I" at the beginning, like my Aunt Ila does.

Ayla looks like it would be pronounced ay (rhymes with hay) la. I would probably spell it Eila or Aila to give it the long I sound.

Ayla is Ay-la. I know that because I played Chrono Trigger for the SNES and the cavegirl's name was Ayla.
eye-la would probably be ila, but people would pronounce it ill-uh

I would say that it is pronounced with a long A and you could spell the pronounciation i-la. Although Eye-la works just as well. That is such a pretty name.

Maybe ilya. Im not sure, it sounds very pretty though actually. I like it. Ayla to me does read with an A sound and not the eye sound you are going for. iyla reads better but doesnt look right to me, so i dont know! Good luck....very nice name choice!

A-la is how Ayla is normally pronounced.
Eila? Maybe for the pronunciation you are going for?

I would pronounce "Ayla" as "ay-la".
Different spellings for "eye-la" might include:
Eila
Isla
Ila
