The Big Island of Hawaii in the USA has some black sand beaches, caused by hot lava entering the sea and breaking up.
The most beautiful black sand beach, Kalapana wascovered up by lava flow a few years ago after I visited it, but new ones have reformed.

In quite a few... Any areas that have been exposed to volcanic activity are likely to have black sediment grains mixed in with the sand.

Hawaii has some beautiful black sand beaches. The one place I found to be one of the most breathtaking though, was the black sand beach in the island of Santorini, Greece.

Any country with lots of volcanic activities, past or present should have an ample supply. Hawaii has some, parts of Italy has some. Shouldn't be a problem to find.
