Hmm..usually you might get to think that someone is open minded from what he says about him/her self.or from how he seem to act and think.But many peoples pretend to be open minded because that have heard that its on fashion to be open minded.What i was trying to say was that they build an image around them who isnt necesary how they trully are.

Enlightenment and being open-minded are not the same thing.
Being open minded is the first step to enlightenment.
When a person is open-mind all it means is they are willing to learn and listen.
