That is really up to the Geneva Convention. The US is not the self proclaimed world police. They, among other countries included in the Geneva Convention are included in this role.

No. A government is the the organization that is granted (or takes) the power to use force. That grant of power can only come from the people who are citizens of that country. Last I heard the territorial limits of the US don't include Iraq, China, France, Brazil or any other country. If individual people want to fight on the side of some cause or another that is their right. The only time a country has the right to initiate force is when the initiation of force (IOW, an invasion) from another is immanent.

No. We aren't being such a great big brother to the world. We surely are a distant cousin to the problems and concerns in America. Look at the Katrina fiasco. Let's take care of our citizens first, then we can help others. That doesn't mean we shouldn't send food or clothing or health care supplies to needy people. It just means we should be careful not to give help when it's not wanted or appreciated!

Yes. The world needs policing. Who else is gonna do it? France? The UN which is dominated by lousy dictatorships?

Aren't there police in your part of the world?

Don't you like democracy?

No, the whole world already hates them. When there is another inevitable third World War, we will be prime targets. America needs to take care of itself before going out and busting other countries. They can't take care of their own battles. The same people who couldn't get a bottle of water or food to New Orleans are trying to win a war. Thats is stupidity.

Yes, policing to put out fires, not for wars we initiate such as the fiasco in Iraq.
