hi every1 i have a quesition for you, what should i do with my old junior acoustic guitar, because i want to buy a proper guitar but i dont know what to do with it. and i know that this should only contain 1 question but do guitar shops replace junior guitar strings? because i think they dont for the strings of the guitar are twisted and connected together at the end where they are held(fou d near the hole)compared to proper guitars where they'r held each by a wedge or something individually

If I were you I'd keep it I got 1 for my son it was an half size when he was 5 and also had the strings put right for him as he is left handed he is now 28 and I have still got it hopefully his son of 4 may like it and want to learn I don't think you will get much for it so why don't you get a second hand guitar

sorry to answer your question with a question, but if you cant change the strings of your guitar yourself, why are you contemplating buying a new probably expensive guitar?
you cant be a serious player as you wouldn't tie the strings together!
to reply to your question;
take it to a buy and sell shop, there will most likely be used guitars there for sale which would be cheaper than buying a new one. try it out before buying, make sure the strings don't buzz when you play on the top few frets. and make sure you can hold down the strings at the sound hole end and still get a clear note, and without cutting your finger tips open. hope this helps, sorry about the negative start to this reply, but I've been playing for 40 years and I hate those people who abuse the instrument

Depends on the guitar. Nylon string or classical guitars are strung the way you describe. The steel strings are usually held by the ball with a pin. Guitar shops should be able to restring anything. If you can't get rid of it, donate it to someone.

A guitar shop can replace the strings if it's a real guitar........it might not even be worth it though, unless it's a good guitar that will get you a few bucks.........why don't you find a little kid to give it to and make his day.....

why not see if a local junior school can make use of it- they could probably sort out the strings too - a full new set of strings wouldn't cost much!
