I retreat so that I can think for a while. I've learned to walk away from an argument as soon as it happens just so that I don't say anything I may regret. Some private time allows me to really think about the problem and come to a solution. And then I confront it.
I usually smoke a lot as well :P

Well i would like to retreat and run, sometimes i would like to ignore it, but since those aren't options for me, i usually confront the situation whether i want to or not.

I realize that there is a way around everything and a way to beat everything....I analyze the situation, take in the the events that are causing me the problems and then how to beat them.
If in the end, I'm still down because I'm not the right person to do it - i say **** it and move on to the next because it wasn't meant to happen.
