It's a mechanical handheld toy. It's a toy the japanese invented to teach children how to raise an animal. It can have different creatures inside it. Today it's more advanced, you can hook it up to other friends and play more games and stuff. it goes to bed at a certain time, and if you don't take care of it, it dies. and you start over. sometimes they have babies and the parents die, and you take care of baby. it never ends really. it comes in differnt colours and patterns. and you could probably find it in wal mart for 10-15 dollars depending on how good it it.

a tamagotchi is a small electronic device/toy that was invented for people to get the feeling of owning a pet. it does almost every a normal pet does. you can also train it feed it and more....

It is a toy invented by the japanese whose basic idea was to teach how to take care of a pet. It had different creatures and you had to raise them, play with them, feed them, etc. If you didn´t they died and you had to start over. Kind of a primitive DS Dogs.

The best thing since sliced bread. They were literally like the size of an egg. And you turned them on and a lil egg appeared and it would hatch. And you fed it and played with it and gave it medicine... OMG. I was obsessed. I proly had 20. I even had the game on my computer. It was hysterical. But now I obsess over more important things like makeup, hair,..... AND CHANNING TATUM, look HIM up on Wikipedia.

hey, i used to have one. its an electronic pet, that came in the shape of an egg. you have to feed it, take care of it, and play with it. you do just about everything you would do with a real pet.

It's a little handheld (keychain Type) electronic pet. etc... you ahve to "feed, play with" etc... if you don't do it the pet "dies" and goes to heaven....my daughter had one and her pet lasted about three weeks
