Ok, first of all, you are the eleven year old daughter. No mother would come onto Yahoo Answers and ask this. There's nothing you can do to force it upon yourself, as far as I know, just let nature do its thing.

Don't worry about it.

Eleven is too young to be worried about that give her time and she will start when shes ready. If it does not start by the time shes 16 then worry

This is the wrong section...it should be under "women's health."

Honestly, what's the problem? She's eleven-years-old! You get your period from anywhere between 8-15 years-old. Second, as long as her doctor says she's healthy she's fine.

I agree with the first poster-- no real mother would post this question in sports, either.

But since you asked, you're obviously concerned. Just wait it out, my dear. I was almost 14 before I got mine. I was so mad that I wasn't like the other girls. Now I'm tired of it and wish it away! I know that doesn't help right now, but someday you'll think back to this and wonder why you were in such a hurry.

Another voice telling you to be patient. Girls can start as early as 9 and as late as 15. Don't overreact so much! Maybe she's stressed about you hovering over her, waiting for her to start, which is preventing it.
Anyway, are you sure the "Sports" section is the right place to be asking this? Next time, try the Family and Childcare sections.

That's not a problem at all. Most girls don't menstruate until they are 12, 13 or 14. Let nature take it's course.

She still has time. If she doesn't get it by the time she turns 16 then I would be worried. Most girls don't get it at 11 years old. Let nature run its course.

There is nothing you should worry about! Most girls get theirs at 13 or 14. 11 is pretty young. DOn't worry she'll get hers!
