I'm fortunate to live in a gorgeous wooded lot in a loft and drive a nice car. Although I aspire to own a home before I'm 40, I would definately rather have a great house and a junky car. I live in the house, not the car.

Double wide with an amazing car. More people see your car than see your house, especially at work, where what you drive may determine your career prospects. Of course, this all assumes that you are into material possessions and not home and family life. The answer could change once you get married and/or have kids. Of course, once you get married the wife will not be satisfied with what you live in or what you drive, so you will have to upgrade both.

It's like the famous question: which is better, pie or cake?
When the obvious answer is cookies.
You need to live within a reasonable means. Even if that means having a moderate house and a moderate vehicle, without totally sacrificing the need for reliable housing or transportation. So an acceptable comprimise of the two is more than likely better then an extreme of one or the other.

Nice house because a king like myself needs a castle. A pacer would be a better car...I love the fact that you can actually see everything around you; not to mention the massive amount of lacerations all over your face, neck and arms once you crash the mobile fish bowl...LOL!!!!

I'd go with the DW. When you get right down to it, you can make any house a home with clever decorating. But there's not much you can do to make a Pinto into a BMW.

Okay you have choice: Wealth and power through exploitation of others:
or
Dignity and integrety, but modest living or even poverty????
Money cannot but integrety, and integrety provides its own riches.
