This is my second child (the first one is 9 years old
My doc said that I'm 2cm and 50% effaced, I'm feeling miserable and last night I experienced what I think are Braxton Hicks (only every 10 or 15 mins) continuous until about 4am. when your 2cm and 50 % effaced how close are you to labor??
My due date is January 19th. . . My Mom lives in San Antonio and wants to be here should I tell her to come on the 18th??

Since this is your second pregnancy, I think it would be any day now. If it was your first you could have a while. I was 1.5/40 and didn't deliver for 5 weeks. But that was my first. I heard the second one comes very fast. I would tell you Mom to have a bag ready. Good luck and congratulations. :)

When you are 50% effaced, anything can happen. You could fully dialate and have the baby. I believe strongly that it is totally up to the baby. And God. Good Luck.

only the baby can decide, ut the more active you are, the faster you'll go.... my guess is you'll put the little one by weekend- the %05 is just how much the baby is pressing down... let me know what happens

It's hard to predict when you will have your baby. It can be in a day or in a week. Your baby will let you know when he/she is ready.
