I have read similar questions and answers for this same problem on here , but I thought I'd try again.I have to go back to work or we won't have a roof over our heads but my 5 1/2 month old daughter refuses to bottle feed.It does not matter who tries it , Or if I'm around or not.She refuses the sippie cup and barely likes the solids.Does anyone have any other answers or advice?...I am sincerely desperate!

My little one did not want to take the bottle either. She still has some problems with the bottle sometimes. We tried about 5 different bottles, the one she will eat out of is Dr Brown standard nipple. These bottles are also good because they reduce amount of air the baby swallows. If she sucks on a pacifier try removing the pacifier and switching it with the bottle. If it does not work try again but do it fast. She might be refusing the bottle not because she does not want it but because the suck is different for the bottle and she does not know how to suck it effectively. My baby would twist her tongue and suck just like a breast until she got frustrated and started crying. If she does not suck the pacifier do it while she is breastfeeding when the feeding slows down and she is almost full or sleepy.
Try giving the bottle at night when she is sleepy that way she is more relaxed and easier accepting to new things. We patient, if she starts crying take the bottle away, calm her down and try again. But don’t force it too much or she will see the bottle as punishment and not take it at all.
Good luck.

have you tried the nipples made by NUK? they are different shaped and are meant to simulate breastfeeding. Also it might be because she can't get a good latch on the bottle, you might have to move the nipple around a little to adjust it. Good luck!

It could be the nipple you are using. Try changing it to a few different ones and see which one she prefers. Also, ask your pediatrician about the formula she's using, maybe she prefers soy or a different brand. Never hurts to try.
