Other than the military about the only thing you can look at is working in the travel industry. Such as for a cruise line, or if you are willing to take some more training, an airline.

And the above is also depending on your "history". With all the terrorist activity and awareness, you will have to go through and pass a major background investigation.

Consider working for yourself. Be an "auction buyer". Chose products that you can get good resale in your home location. You can find a seller of certain items and buy from the auction to supply their store.

Example: A furnishing store in a small rual community does not have the resources to buy high end furniture. The auction buyer, buys at estate auctions, ships to the store with a price tag that cover shipping & purchase plus reasonable return, payable 2 days of sale or in 60 days max.

The store owner's mark-up 75% to 200%. Lets do the numbers. A bed room set 5 pieces purchased for $150.00, cost to ship $175.00, delivered for sale $775.00. For sale at store $2,225.00. Price at other stores $4,395.00 brand new. (Only matress & box springs new), provided by furniture store owner.

To start do local auctions, slowly build up stores you can supply.

On one occasion I just happen to walk into an auction on auction day. I spotted a frame straighting machine, the bid got to $190.00 I bid $200.00 and got it. I had no idea what it was worth or how to sell it. I could not put it in the compat car I was driving. I went to lunch, saw a auto repair shop and talked to the owner. His associate said that if the equipment was half as good as I said it was he would give me $1000.00 for it. I ask him to bring his truck to the auction site and take it to his shop. He did so, and when he got there he said he don't have all the money right then. I said ok, he paid me $900.00 and agreed to send me $100.00 in the mail.

Maybe the mailman got lost but I made $700.00, thank you God.
