The closest primate to humans are humans themselves. We are primates after all.
But I guess you meant "extant non-human primate". Today most scientist agree that the chimpanzees are. Followed by the gorillas.
If you include extinct non-human primates, it would be probably be an Australopithecine, as they are supposed to be the Genus from which the first humans evolved.

Chimpanzee
Comparisons of DNA show that our closest living relatives are the ape species of Africa, and most studies by geneticists show that chimpanzees and humans are more closely related to each other than either is to gorillas.

On the basis of all the evidence, the closest relative of the human proves to be the chimp. The closest relative of the chimp is the human. Not orangs, but people. Us. Chimps and humans are nearer kin than are chimps and gorillas or any other kinds of ape not of the same species

Researchers have learned that despite the 99 percent similarity between the DNA of humans and our closest relative, the chimpanzee, a significant difference occurs in the places along the genome where gene swapping occurs.

In contrast to what was mainly believed in the earlier part of this century, molecular data
supports the hypothesis that chimpanzees are humans’ closest relative. This relationship is
supported by immunological, DNA-DNA hybridization, and DNA sequence data and by
chromosomal analyses and protein sequences.

Not as easy as you think. It depends on how you measure it. Older studies found that gorillas were closer. However more recent studies reckon that chimps are closer.
So we have gorilla and chimp ancestry but there isn't much distance to either.
Lots of complicated diagrams here
