I love reading mystery books. Especially those that combine that element with other things like romance and murder. My favorite authors/ books are Gone With The Wind, Scarlett, Tom Clancy, Julie Garwood, Diana Gabaldon, The Nancy Drew series, The Hardy Boy series, and many others. I am currently reading the book Noble House by James Clavelle. It's interesting, but slow reading.

The Agatha Christie books! They are not very long, so you could probably read 5 in a month if you really wanted to. They're also really good and suspenseful so you can't stop reading them. There's quite a few of them, in no specific order that I know of, and you can find them almost everywhere because they are quite popular in the mystery genre. You can just pick whatever one sounds the most interesting. I HIGHLY recommend these books for your school assignment.

There's a whole big world o' books out there for you then. Move on to the Trixie Belden and Hardy Boys books, take a step up to Agatha Christie, mosey on over to Sue Grafton, Lynda LaPlante, and Sara Paretsky, and then onwards to PD James and more. Here is the best site for mystery afficinados:

I used to LOVE Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden when I was growing up. I had completely forgotten about Trixie Belden. Thanks so much to the person who posted that. I don't read many mysteries now and days. I should pick something up and try it.
