I want to watch the movie
does anyone know if its a good movie to watch?
will it be worthwhile because i have been to see so many movies that had good adverts but some of them left me with a bitter taste
in my mouth
so please anybody who has watched the movie
should i go?

This is indeed a very good movie (regardless of Mel's personaliy); however, I must recommend it with caution. This movie is extremely violent. There numerous graphic beheadings. This is not to say that it is gratuitous; it is an accurate representation of Mayan society as I understand it.
To reiterate, Apocalypto is a very interesting and exciting movie with plenty of good action, but also plenty of graphic violence. If you're at all squeamish you will not enjoy this movie.

Well i haven't seen it as it isnt out in the uk the best option is to google it or take a look on youtube and see if there is an advert posted watch it perhaps read a few reviews such as http://www.lovefilm.com or http://www.cineworld.co.uk and see what you think only you know whether you like it or not. I read an article in FHM today (yeh i know i am a girl and i was reading FHM) which was an interview with Mel Gibson but it looked very good.
It's about the Mayan Civilisation that lived in South America about the same ish time as the Aztecs i think.

Go. It's a very good movie start to finish. You won't get bored. The story is very simple (its about survival), and Mel did a good job. Parts of it are gory, but not historically incorrect.

To me, the movie successfully delivered a good message of loyalty, love, bravery and commitment apart from experiencing a mel gibson's artistry.
Go for it(!) and tell if you find the movie as moving as i did.

I loved it didn't think I would when you had to read the captions all the way through the movie but it made me laugh and cry Mel sure can make em.

I refuse to watch a movie made by an alcoholic, anti-seminite.
I hope it is a huge flop.
Do not give the imbecile Mel Gibson any more money.

This movie has a great story but contains super graphic violence that does not hold back.
if that is not your kind of scene then I strongly don't suggest viewing it.
It is also subtitled.
