I used to have to type (yes, on a typewriter) our company purchase orders in quintuplicate. There was a white top copy, for the vendor, a white back copy for the Purchasing files, a blue copy for Receiving, a goldenrod copy for QA and a pink copy for Accounting.

I had "white-out" in multiple colors, for my typos. Fortunately, I'm a pretty good typist, so they weren't entirely too common.

Some pressure carbon copies of forms have a pink copy.

you can use it on any color paper the pink is just something different that people might want to use instead of white

pink paper such as multi-copy receipts. white, yellow, pink, etc.
