i think im getting the shaft i have broadband and the bill with everything included is 56 !!! and i dont have a choice of other companies, they have a monopoly over our area, we dont even have dsl available

lt. i got packet8 for 200 a year and i love the service no restrictions only bad thing is when broadband goes down so does the phone

56 is not that bad,
on LI I am paying 40 as part of my cable bill
if I wanted to go slower I could get DSL for 29

Well where I live they also have a monopoly over our service too. I have broadband and Its all bundled together with my phone service but just the Internet is 53.00 But DSL is 35.00 but I get long distant local and Internet with 150 long dist. mins. free for $82.60 month it was alot cheaper that way than pay for a phone then Internet. I run into the same situation in Alaska. I pay $10.00 USD a month for Dial-up. I got it during a promotion.
Most people around that area pay about $20.00 USD
