Wear whatever you like. Cyber goths wear bright colors and glitter. I wouldn't worry about people calling you a poser, as long as you are who you are. If you want to wear your green shirt but you won't because people will call you a poser, let them, who cares, goths don't have a guidline for what to wear. A goth could wera a hula dress and they would still be goth. Be yourself and you will be more successful and happy in the end. :)

so i'm under the impression you want to be considered gothic/punkrock/hot topic clone, but are concerned because you will be wearing a color that isn't black....
i highly doubt anyone will consider you a "poser" for a green shirt.... though if you're so concerned about coming off as "a real punk" that you are too scared to use the colors you want then... well... maybe they have a right to call you a poser. punk rock is about being and wearing whatever you want and breaking the norms.... how can you do that if you are too scared of what people will think?

Don't worry, that doesn't sound "goth" to me at all, unless the black pants are bondage pants. Just because something's from Hot Topic doesn't mean it's "goth". They've got some cutesy stuff and alot of their clothes have been getting very "scene". Plus, you should just dress how ever the hell you feel like dressing, who cares if some retard calls you a "poser".
Oh and btw, this is coming from a "goth", as we're commonly known.

wear what you want;
you shouldn't try to fit into one specific "clique"
dont worry about it!
---------------------
"Smile
Like you've got nothing to prove
No matter what you might do
There's always someone out there cooler than you
I know that's hard to believe
But there are people you meet
They're into something that is too big to be
Expressed
Through their clothes
And they'll put up with all the poses you'll throw
And you won't
Even know
that they're not sizing you up
They know your mom ****** you up
Or maybe let you watch too much TV
But they'll still look in your eyes
To find the human inside
You know there's always something in there to see
Beneath
The veneer
Not everybody made the list this year
Have a beer
Make me feel tiny if it makes you feel tall
But there's always someone cooler than you
Yeah, you're the **** but you won't be here for long
Oh, there's always someone cooler than you
Yeah, there's always someone cooler than you
Now that I've got the disease
In a way I'm relieved
'Cause I don't have to stress about it like you do
I might just get up and dance
Or buy some acid-wash pants
When you don't care then you got nothing to lose

If you want to be a non conformist, wear whatever you want. If you just want to be goth, then probably just wear all black or else red & black. But honestly, that's not non conformity, it's just conforming to something different than most people.

Honestly hunnie. You shouldn't really even care.
Be confident in yourself. Not in what others think. It doesn't matter if you wear hottopic, abercrombie, H&M or Wal-mart. As long as you can be yourself and carry yourself proudly.

Wear whatever you want. That's the only way to be a true non conformist, you know.

I remember when I was young and cool (notice: the only slang word that is always 'in')
We thought we were so 'free' and 'inventive' - we thought we were 'different' . . .
I look back . . .we were just pawns wearing a uniform!
