A shower uses roughly 2/3 less water than a bath, based on a 12 minute shower.

I agree with this, as I have tried it. While showering I blocked the tub so the water would collect, and there was not enough water to bathe an adult in.

A 5-minute shower uses about a third of the water of a bath. But remember that power showers can use more water than a bath in less than 5 minutes.

The only way ur using the same amount of water that ur using in the bath is if ur taking a shower & a bath at the same time! Other than that, when ur taking a shower ur using more water. I don't know why anyone would think that u were using the same amount of water unless they were filling and refilling ur bath!

A shower uses about a two thirds less water than a bath and uses less power to heat the water, which saves money.

Just a personal preference, I just think showers are cleaner. I feel creeped out sitting in a tub for some reason--but that is just me. If you take a real long shower, though--you may use a bit more water.

i use less in the shower, as im in, washed and out. if i am in the bath, i fill it to the top and lay in it for half a hour relaxing.
but i suppose its different for everyone, it all depends on how long you are in the shower

most often, unless you take really long showers or really shallow baths. your results may vary

i guess any easy test would be how long does the water run to achieve each.

much less. Ever try to fill a tub w/ just the shower on? It takes forever.
