I am studying to pass a national exam while working part time. one job is at a lab but its graveyard for 3 nights a week from 12:30 am to 8:30 am in the morning where i would take care of blood samples and etc in a serology department.

the other job is 6 hours a week at a law office where I would do clerical work. the lab position that is graveyard is more related to the medical field which is the path i am taking and the law office is not really related to my career path...but i don't know if it matters since its so short term before i head out of state.

i have my exam on february 28. both of these jobs are short term commitments...and i need the cash....but i'm concerned that the graveyard may mess up my internal clock but the law office seems like too few hours a week. either way, i need to study. thanks for your insight ahead of time.

both are local and relatively close to my area of residence.

i would definetely take the lab job because you will get 24 hours a week instead of 6 hours a week....can you fit in both? the experience will look good on your resume

If you need money then go for the most hours (unless that low hour job really pays well!) and try to stick in your field as it gives you more than just cash--some job experience! You can reset your internal clock -- just get a phone that you can turn the ringer off and some dark blinds so you can rest well.
Good luck.

since both of the jobs are short term can you work hours so you can do both jobs without conflict. This way you can have a sample of each job and find out which direction you want to head

I'm a firm believer in surrounding yourself with the people in your industry. 90% of the positions I was hired for was because I knew someone on the inside. If your young you should be able to handle the odd hours for a short period of time.

The second definently. The 1st sounds brutal and a job you had for 6 weeks won't do much for your resume.
