It isn't. We have barely scraped our own solar system let alone our galaxies and then there are more galaxies outside of ours. So the general view of scientists is that there will be other life out there.

It's very likely that there is other life in the universe. We can only possibly observe a certain amount of the universe because of the time it takes light to travel to us. Here's an analogy that will make the idea of other life forms seem completely plausible: if the entire universe was the size of the whole earth, the OBSERVABLE universe would be smaller than a grain of sand. However, at those distances, UFOs are very unlikely, because of the need to travel a lot faster than the speed of light to reach Earth in a short enough space of time, which is impossible. The only way UFOs could really visit us is if there were any aliens fairly close by, or if aliens on the other side of the universe found wormholes in space time and had technology sophisticated eough to be able to get through them and even then, the chances of them ending up here are practically zero.

I'm torn on this question. Yes I believe that there is life, intelligent and otherwise, besides us in our galaxy as well as other galaxies. It wouldn't surprise me if there is life other than us in our own solar system, like Mars, where scientists think there are microbes. But what tears me up is the UFO phenomenon. I did a little of my own research. Zeti Reticuli (where the Greys are supposed to be from) is 39 light years away. According to a web site I saw it takes them 91 days to reach us. I did some calculating and figured that they are travelling 156 times the speed of light. Now, they are not breaking any of Einstein's laws since they do not actually travel faster than light, but instead they use a warp drive, which warps space. Take a sheet of paper, label one end A and the other B. Conventionally the sheet would remain flat and you would move along its axis from A to B. With a warp drive you can bend the two points closer and connect the two points with a wormhole, drastically cutting down travelling time. To power it they interact negative matter with positive matter. This all sounds so much like Star Trek, with their anti-mater/matter reactor. So do I really think we have been visited? I don't know, maybe. It is possible since the Greys on Zeta Reticuli have been around about 2 billion years longer than us. But if they figured out interstellar travel they probably evolved quicker than us and spent their resources on star travel instead of crap like we do such as gas guzzling cars and coverage on the news about Paris Hilton.

Life may exist but its so far away we will never get there and it will never reach us even if it is out there. There is no positive proof that there was life on Mars, at least not yet and if there was it probably has been dead for a long time.

in my opinion it is idiotic to believe that there is not any intelligent life other that humans.
but to answer your question, it is not an opinion that there are UFOs outside of our planet. An object that has failed to be identified and it flies makes it an unidentified flying object (UFO).
in my opinion it is preposterous to think that if there is life on one planet in the universe there couldn't be anywhere else. religion is a belief based on a lack of facts.
