First of all,, I am against cloning....
well I don't think this matters with the question I am asking now;

I need to answer this question but... I have no idea what it is asking about... can someone help me?


The question:
If multiple animals of a species are resurrected from only one specimen, what will this mean for genetic diversity and survival of the resurrected species?

There will be very limited diversity because there is only one sample point. The species will be able to naturally survive only if it can quickly adapt to its new environment.

You only have one DNA source. DNA tends to degenerate over time unless re-infused with other DNA. Only one animal being cloned means that the species could survive a few generations, but could not be sustained indefinitely.

Your experiment has already been done . Check on Gecko females have the ability to clone them selves . they cannot clone males . They are not as resistant to infections etc. Cant remember much more .
