I have Norton, and it works perfectly, as long as its the only anti virus working, try mixing it with others, or add aware, ect it slows down, completely.Word of warning though, if you don't get the full package so EVERYTHING is covered, don't get it, as I find it is not very compatible, with other makes.I get the yearly updated one paying a small fee ,and it sends me automatic updates all year round,so far i have never received a virus,no tracking systems,an impenetrable firewall, password protection, ect.worth the £36 it cost me this year

Norton is notorious for slowing down computers - almost to a halt!!. There are a lot better virus protectors out there. AVG is free and works great. If you're on Roadrunner, they provide one for you.... I have uninstalled Norton from many computers.

Avoid Norton at all cost it's very process hungry and will slow all machines as well as being a pain to remove - AVG is faster and free
