I've been a nurse for 30 yrs. It's a great salary, can go anywhere in the US to work, can work nights, days, clinic, schools, hospitals, jails, on and on. There is a great variety on where to work as a nurse. A good thing also is, you can do it without a bachelors, and it doesn't make you any less qualified. As long as you work with people, you don't get 'bored.' It's difficult, however the benefits outweigh the downfalls. The best benefit is making a person feel better, helping them out, and that doesn't always mean medicine. When I make a connection, and make someone's life a little easier, whether a patient or family, if I help a doc make his decisions, then I go home knowing I've done a good job! It's a very rewarding career. Salaries vary greatly depending on the state and the area you work. Hospitals tend to pay the highest! You can check on line to see the salary range.

I am a secretary and I do like my job. It allows me some free time where I am able to be on Yahoo Answers and surf the net as well. The salary could be better but I'm not complaining as it could be worst. My job allows me access to very confidential and sensitive matters which is always an added bonus if you think about it.

Admin Assistant for a big worldwide company. The wage is absolutely fantastic (with yearly raises + benefits). Common sense knowledge, great typing skills and communication manners are all that I needed and *bang* here I am now.
I would absolutely try out for this job again.

I'm retired but used to be a bench jeweler and the pay was great and I loved having creative control over my projects. Had a fine arts degree and apprenticeship with an experienced jeweler.
